Skive Marina: Very modern and perhaps one of Denmark's most beautiful harbors

Very close to Skive Fjord Camping you will find Skive's three harbours: Skive Yacht Harbour, Skive Industrial Harbour and Skive Dinghy and Shipyard Harbour. 
Via the Fjord Path at the water's edge, you can find Skive Marina, just 3 km from the centre of the campsite. The harbour is perhaps one of Denmark's most beautiful and modern marinas - and is truly a wonderful place with a lovely atmosphere and the centre of attention for many locals. The perfect place to stroll, enjoy the sun and look at the many beautiful sailing and motor boats that are moored in the harbour. 

Near and at the marina you will find two restaurants, an ice cream parlor, the beautiful, historic buildings in Resenlund with a goldsmith and glassblowing shop, and a bathing jetty. 

Skive Marina is also home to many water sports clubs, including Skive Sailing Club, Skive Surf Club and SUP, Skive Diving Club, Skive Rowing Club and Skive Winter Swimming Club, which has the most beautiful sauna with a view of the fjord on the "nose" of the harbor area. 

Skive Marina is a lovely place on a summer day - it's bustling with life and locals on weekends, there are plenty of tables and benches where you can sit and watch life go by in the harbor, and then you can stroll along the bridges and enjoy the many boats. Here you can find everything from historic wooden boats like the cruise ship "MARIENLYST", which was actually built right next to the campsite and is located at the quay in Skive Marina, to state-of-the-art motorboats.

In Skive we have three harbours, located side by side at the bottom of the fjord. Just as in Skive we have two beautiful and very different churches side by side, the harbours are also divided by purpose and located next to each other. All three harbours can do something different and are worth a visit. 

Next to the marina you will find Skive Industrial Harbour, which still gets a few coasters with materials and goods sailing in and larger boats, and a bit further south you will find the dinghy/fishing harbour, which shares the harbour with the Skive Shipyard. It is also really beautiful here - and an absolutely overlooked gem in terms of experiencing wildlife, as seals, otters, kingfishers and herons can often be seen in the Shipyard's harbour. Really worth a visit!

Behind the shipyard's harbor you will find "Klondike", an area with small, colorful and fun fishing houses. Once you have passed Klondike, you will arrive at Denmark's longest wooden bridge, which leads over the mouth of Karup Ås into the Limfjord and its associated delta. It is truly a beautiful trip!

Skive Festival:
Lots of good music at Strandtangen at Skive Marina - within walking/cycling distance from the campsite! Skive Festival takes place the first weekend in June and lasts 3-4 days depending on coinciding holidays.

Around the Limfjord - Scandinavia's largest wooden ship cruise:
Just outside Skive Fjord Camping, lots of historic wooden ships are finishing their week-long race around the Limfjord. You can see this from the campsite and our beach - a fantastically impressive sight! 

The ships are moored in Skive's industrial harbour, where there is a party and dinner in the evening for the many participants in the race. Here you can also get up close to the beautiful wooden ships, several of which are open and offer guided tours.
