As the campsite is located on the outskirts of Skive town, you are close to real restaurants and cafes of all kinds. With only 4 km to the centre and pedestrian street, a huge selection awaits you in the town. Whether you are on a bike when you go out to eat, or if you take the car - there are several options for you quite close to the campsite. 

Among other things, you will find two exciting restaurants with a view of the harbor at Skive Marina (only 3 km via bike path from the campsite). In the town center there is everything from gluten-free cafes to restaurants and a grill bar. 

If you're looking for more hidden gems in the surrounding area, we also have a few really good suggestions, including: our personal favorite, Breum Country Inn, as you just mustn't visit when you are on holiday with us in Skive. 

At Skive Marina you will find A Hereford Beefstouw, located among Krabbesholm Forest's old, large oak and beech trees and with a beautiful view of the harbor and fjord through the enormous panoramic windows. 

The menu consists mainly of luxurious steaks cooked to perfection and with delicious, seasonal side dishes. 
Here you can sit indoors in classic, Danish design furniture and enjoy the atmosphere, or outside on the restaurant's terrace if you wish. Dogs are also welcome on the terrace.

Restaurant Ballast is located at Skive Marina, within cycling distance of Skive Fjord Camping. The restaurant is based on the New Nordic cuisine, and serves mainly dishes made from local ingredients. The menu varies according to the best seasonal ingredients, so you can enjoy experiencing new dishes often. This is a state-of-the-art restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor, and here too it is possible to sit either indoors or outdoors.

Visit VildMedVin's delicious wine bar and shop, located close to the harbor. Here you can have a glass of delicious wine and an appetizer or take a look in the beautiful shop with lots of wine, spirits, beer and specialties. You can also get expert guidance from Jesper, who is a passionate wine nerd, and who can guide you to the right wine for you. If you need a wine for a special event or a specific menu, Jesper will help you find the right one.

WE RECOMMEND: At the end of the pedestrian street with easy parking next to it, you will find Café Helmuth, which has lots of delicious options. Here you can get, for example, wonderful salads, crispy burgers, shooting stars, Parisian steaks, etc. 
The premises are really cozy and are located in the old post office, so you can also feel the whisper of history here. 
A really good place to eat everything from brunch to dinner - for adults and children. Feel free to combine it with a walk in the pedestrian zone!

In the middle of the pedestrian street you will find Kaffemøllen, which is particularly well-known in the local area for its wide gluten-free selection of really delicious homemade pastries. Here you will find long rows of cakes, buns and bread, really good coffee, shakes and smoothies, vegan options, etc. We ourselves absolutely love their rum balls! One of these always sneaks up on us when we come to the pedestrian street.

Free delivery to Skive Fjord Camping! Tasty's Pizza in Skive makes really good durum rolls and pita bread with homemade, freshly made bread. Here you can also get good pizzas - everything from deep pan to delicious, savoury salad pizzas.

We recommend: Our personal favorite is Breum Landevejskro. When we ourselves want to go out for a good meal and be pampered, we go to Niels and Sanne at Breum Landevejskro. Here, everything is made from scratch, so the wait is worth it: you can be sure that Sanne has conjured up some absolutely fantastic food for you. 

The old roadside inn is the setting for the area's absolute best food and service, which you absolutely must not miss. The inn is just a short walk from the campsite and although it is in many ways a hidden gem that the locals love so much that it is almost kept a secret, it is a really good idea to call them in advance if you want to be sure of getting a table.
