CLOSE TO THE CITY: Skive Fjord Camping is located right next to the town sign for Skive. The lovely location close to the city means that you are close to the pedestrian street, shopping center, art, culture, water park and bowling. 

From Skive Fjord Camping, nothing is ever far away. Whether you need a liter of milk late at night, a pair of wellies for the kids or want to experience something cultural, Skive town has just what you need!

The city has, among other things, an art museum, a shopping center, two large shopping areas with, among other things, Elgiganten and hardware stores, a large tropical water park, gyms, bowling centers, etc. And of course a pedestrian street! Here you will find everything you could need! 

Below we have compiled a small overview of the various cultural offerings, family fun and shopping opportunities, all of which you can find just around the corner from the campsite in Skive town.

The pedestrian zone only 4 km from Skive Fjord Camping
4 km from the campsite you will find Skive's modern pedestrian street with specialty shops, clothing stores, shoes, a pharmacy, glasses, personal care, hardware stores, cafés, restaurants and Skive Theater, which hosts everything from concerts to performances.

CLOSE TO THE CITY: Quite close to Skive Fjord Camping is the center of Skive City with its modern pedestrian street.
Only four kilometers from the campsite is the pedestrian street in Skive town. Here are small, lovely specialty shops with wine, chocolate and specialties such as Søegaards Vinhus and Bonbonnieren, the latter of which is also a café with everything for a sweet tooth. 

The pedestrian street of course also has clothing stores for men and women, both the chains you may know but especially smaller, personal stores like the women's clothing store Frølund. 

In the pedestrian street you will of course also find hardware stores, a butcher and Skive's fish shop - so if you want fresh fish on your table, just take a quick stroll up the pedestrian street past Halldors Seafood.

The pedestrian street also has cafés and restaurants. If you feel a little hungry, Kaffemøllen, known for its gluten-free pastries and delicious shakes, is really worth a visit! At Café Helmuth on Posthustorvet in the old, beautiful post office you can have delicious brunch, lunch and dinner. Also visit Det Italienske Pizzaria og Bøfhus!

Also located by the pedestrian street is Skive Theater, which has lots of exciting events all year round, such as concerts, lectures, plays, etc.

Søndercenter with everything from supermarket to restaurant
In Skive, close to the pedestrian street, is Søndercentret, which has just been modernized and renovated. Here you will find, among other things, Denmark's largest H&M store, a large supermarket, a nice, nice hardware store, a toy store, Matas, a local clothing store, and two eateries: the cozy Café Å and Restaurant Flammen.

There is a large parking lot at the center, where it is easy and free to park - in the part closest to the center you must remember to put your parking disc, but in the back half there is more free parking. Remember to read the signs for current parking regulations. 

The center is just a few minutes' walk from the pedestrian street, so it is also a good opportunity to go shopping.

City Vest: shops with everything for two- and four-legged friends
A short distance from Skive Fjord Camping is City Vest. In City Vest you will find Denmark's largest Jysk store, a large supermarket, a pharmacy, a hardware store, a large wine shop, a pet accessories store and a large bicycle shop - so if you want to be well-equipped during your holiday, it is really worth stopping by.

City Vest is located on the other side of the road from Skive+ and less than 5 km from the campsite. So it's a no-brainer to drive here if you need anything - between City Vest and Skive+ there's definitely a shop that can help you.

Skive+: large chain stores and long opening hours
Across the road from City Vest is the brand new Skive+. Here you will find large chain stores such as Elgiganten, a huge Normal, a hardware store, the car accessories store Thansen, a large flea market with lots of exciting second-hand finds, a large sports outlet and more!

The first stores in the Skive+ area opened in the latter half of 2024, and more stores will be built during 2025. There are plenty of free parking spaces, a playground and large, exciting chain stores with everything from tires to delicious recycled finds.

When Skive+ is fully established, there will be a total of 23,000 m2 of retail space spread across 18 different stores. It's exciting!

KCS Water Park and Exercise
The tropical water park has a wave pool, a large hot tub, a water slide, a children's/play pool for the little ones, a large hot tub and a huge 50-meter swimming pool. The temperature is always good! The water park is tropically temperate, so the air is nice and warm, the 50-meter pool is like the "coldest" 28 degrees, while the other pools are warmer. A really nice place for children and adults!

Cinema4 cinema
Next to the water park you will find Cinema4, our large cinema with four halls with luxurious chairs, where you can put your feet up and enjoy a good movie. One hall is dedicated to ArtCinema, here you will be able to see films that you can often only see in the big cities in Denmark, but which can now be shown in newly decorated luxurious settings in Skive.

Concerts and events in Skive Cultural Center and Skive Theater
An incredible number of exciting things happen in the Cultural Center and the theater throughout the year. Here you can experience great concerts, lectures, performances, stand-up comedy, etc. Skive Theater dates back to 1882, so it is really worth a visit!

Art at Skive Art Museum
In the middle of Skive town is Skive Art Museum, which has changing art exhibitions with different focuses and artists. The museum focuses on Danish art - in particular, it contains a large collection of art from the 1800th century to the present day.
