VisionKayak: Tours in transparent canoe/kayak hybrids

As one of the only places in Europe where you can paddle in crystal clear, completely transparent canoe/kayak hybrids, GLASKAJAK®, at VisionKayak, with the tour starting from the stand just below the campsite. It is a fantastic experience both above and below the surface for families, couples, friends and for your family reunion, birthday or similar event!

Dogs are also welcome here!

Explore the beautiful, clear waters of the Limfjord in kayaks that function as overgrown water binoculars. Experience mussel banks, eelgrass, crabs, the special Limfjord oysters and all the other life below the surface while enjoying a lovely trip on the water. You can choose between three different types of trips; morning, sunset and full moon trips. The trips can be booked via the VisionKayak website and at the reception at the campsite.

Please book well in advance! There are a limited number of places on each tour.

On the morning trips, which always start at 10:00 AM at Marienlyst Beach in Skive, we get maximum benefit from the water binocular effect through the clear kayaks. The more light, the easier it is to see into the water under the kayak, so if you dream of really exploring and discovering the fjord bottom, this is the trip you should choose! 

We will be back before lunch, so you can take the opportunity to also experience one of Skive's many cozy restaurants and cafés. Here you can enjoy a lovely sunny day and the cooling breeze on the fjord or experience the tranquility and the very special atmosphere that occurs on days when the sky rolls a protective blanket of clouds over us.

Imagine gliding over the waters of the Limfjord, as the sunset's explosion of warm orange and yellow hues to the west fades into the sky above us, and the tufted cumulus clouds turn a delicate pink. Slowly, the golden colors are replaced by cool, clear turquoise and deep blue tones to the east, and finally we can see the brightest stars light up one by one in the sky above us. 

If we are lucky that it is completely calm, the fjord's shiny water reflects all this like an enormous mirror, and we will therefore have the feeling of rowing directly into the sky. We start while it is still light, and you will therefore also experience rowing in an enormous water telescope with a window to the secret life of the fjord on this romantic trip.

These trips are the most beautiful, most adventurous experience you can have on the water. On the full moon trips you get the best of all three types of trips. We will experience the water binoculars effect because we start the trip while it is still light. Then the warm colors of the sunset will decorate the sky as the full moon slowly creeps up over the horizon. 

Finally, we will row under its silvery glow and experience how it is clearly reflected in the glossy waters of the fjord. The stars will adorn the sky above us, and if we are really lucky, we may see a shooting star, or be visited by one of the fjord's seals, elegantly bathing in the moon's reflection.

The start time of the full moon tours follows both sunset and moonrise and therefore varies from tour to tour.
