A stone's throw from the water - and close to the city
Located just 130 meters from the banks of the Limfjord and surrounded by forest and fields, and only 4 km from the city center with pedestrian street and shopping, you get the best of both worlds here. In addition to its modern pedestrian street and shopping center, Skive city offers a range of attractions, including a water park, cinema, bowling alleys, museums, theaters, and concert venues. Everything you could possibly need is here!

Peace and quiet and views at perhaps Denmark's most unique campsite
Skive Fjord Camping is the only one in the country to be built entirely on terraces on a south-facing slope down to the Limfjord. There are fantastic views of the water and the surrounding landscape, featuring hills, fields, and forests. The terraces offer extra peace and privacy, even though you're situated on a bright, airy, and open pitch. Whether you like full panoramic water views, green sheltered corners with extra elbow room, or something in between, we'll find the perfect pitch for you.

For children: fun playgrounds and endless splashing in the pool
Children can play in the campsite's two playgrounds, featuring a zip wire, bouncy castle, and climbing towers, and swim as much as they want in the solar-heated swimming pool. Access is free when you stay at the campsite. Plus, we have free WiFi!

On-site experiences

Enjoy a good book on the sun loungers by the pool while the kids swim, play on one of the two playgrounds, go for a walk in the woods or to the beach, and chat with our cute horses over the fence.

At Skive Fjord Camping you have direct access to the water with a lovely jetty by the beach and in the middle of nature with forest, fields and the fjord. Outside the door are paths for walking and cycling to the harbor and the city. Lots of great vacation memories await you here!

Experiences in the area

At the campsite beach, you'll find the meeting point for VisionKayaks trips in the completely transparent canoe/kayak hybrids, GLASKAJAK®. The first place in Denmark!

Within about 25 minutes of the campsite, you will find Denmark's best-preserved medieval castle, Spøttrup Borg, the world's largest limestone mine, Mønsted Kalkgruber, Jesperhus Flower Park, and Hjerl Hede, which invites you on a journey back in time to Denmark's past.

The campsite is an experience in itself - beautifully landscaped by landscape architects in terraces on a south-facing slope

Skive Fjord Camping is one of the only campsites in Denmark that is completely terraced - even on a south-facing slope, so there's plenty of sun! The terraces offer a unique atmosphere and plenty of peace and quiet; instead of having caravans surrounding you on all sides on a boring service road, you have only one neighbor on each side and enjoy numerous views and fresh air in front of you. Here, everyone has a degree of view - either of the Limfjord, the surrounding fields, the forest, or the campsite. The terraces also absorb a lot of sound, so even though you're on a beautiful and open campsite full of life, you can still hear the birds chirping and enjoy a good book in silence.

The campsite was designed by landscape architects who wanted to ensure that as many people as possible had a view over the fjord, the surrounding landscape of hills, forest, and fields, and the campsite itself. Some pitches are private and secluded if you wish.

There are tons of cool places to check out right outside the door when you're on vacation at Skive Fjord Camping. The surrounding nature is, of course, packed with hiking and biking trails. At the campsite's beach, you'll find one of the only places in Europe where you can go on trips in completely transparent canoe/kayak hybrids. GLASS KAYAK®. From the campsite, it's just 3 km to Skive Marina and 4 km to Skive's city centre, featuring a pedestrian street lined with delicious specialty shops and cozy restaurants.
Within a 25-minute drive, you can find everything from medieval castles to Europe's largest limestone mine and other great nature experiences - for example, on the island of Fur. Major attractions such as Legoland®, Tivoli Friheden, Nordsøakvariet, Ree Park Zoo, Djurs Sommerland, Kattegatcenteret, Fårup Sommerland, etc., can all be reached within a couple of hours' drive. In just 2 hours and 15 minutes, you can be on Grenen at Skagen!

The North Sea is only 60 minutes away, making it an obvious destination for a day trip. You can drive out to be blown away by the rugged North Sea landscape, then come home to enjoy the evening in the warmer Central Jutland region with its peaceful Limfjord, free of scary undercurrents, waves, etc. There is plenty to experience for both young and old, whether you're looking for activities, food, or culture.

Skive Fjord Camping is built on a south-facing slope that is divided into terraces throughout. It is one of the only campsites in Denmark to be laid out in this way, ensuring privacy, light and air - and plenty of views!

Skive is located in the heart of Jutland, so you're close to all the major must-see attractions and at the same time close to a string of lesser-known, hidden treasures. Close by you'll find the world's largest limestone mine and Denmark's best-preserved medieval castle.

In the middle of nature with plenty of water around - and still close to the city

The campsite is located on the Salling peninsula, surrounded by the Limfjord, which the campsite is right next to. Skive Municipality alone has 196 km of coastline - so there's plenty of water around you. At the same time, Skive city with its pedestrian street and shopping is within cycling distance.

Simple cabin with full focus on the extraordinary water view over the fjord and the Limfjord landscape with hills and fields around. Like a tent with hard walls, bunk beds, fridge and running water - and a view!

25 m² cabin

Cottage with a total of five beds divided into two rooms.
There is a kitchen-family room, an older bathroom (and otherwise the service building on the floor above the cottage can be freely used) and a covered terrace for cozy summer evenings. A good base for an active holiday!

30 m² Luxury Cabin

Modern, newly renovated cottage with a total of five beds divided into two rooms and a sofa bed. There is a kitchen-dining room, a modern bathroom, and a partially covered terrace for both sun and draft-free summer evenings.

35 m² Tiny house

Modern, very spacious and beautiful tiny house with a total of five (six) sleeping places divided into two rooms and a sofa bed. There is a large kitchen-dining room, separate bathroom and toilet, walk-in closet and large terrace. Space for a holiday in all kinds of weather!
